Zalor Beach, Goa
The Zalor Beach is a small beach in the south of Goa which is located around 14 kms from Margao. The place is also closer to the Varca & Cavelossim beaches. The Zalor beach is also known as the Carmona Beach and there have been disputes regarding the jurisdiction of the beach area. It is one of those Goan beaches which has escaped the advances of commercial activities in the region and hence does not have the popularity of the other commercialised beaches in Goa. It is certainly one of the quite, calm & cleanest beaches that one can find in Goa.
The Zalor beach is covered with pure white sands, few palm & coconut trees along with plenty of shacks to provide food & refreshments to its visitors. Goa is known for its cuisines and Zalor is not any different, the shacks serve some of the tastiest international as well as traditional Goan dishes along with drinks and other refreshments. The place is also a catholic zone and hence one can find plenty of churches in the area.
Visitors can just relax under the sun, enjoy a massage, taste some splendid dishes & refreshments from the shacks or induldge themselves in some water sports activities in the region. Zalor Beach is certainly one of the nicest places to relax and stay away from the usual crowded atmospheres in Goa.
