Anjuna Beach, Goa
Anjuna is a small town in Goa and is a part of the Bardez taluka. The Goa Anjuna Beach is located at around 18 Kms from the state capital of Panaji. It shares a 30 km beach coastline on the west coast along the Arabian sea which constitutes Sinquerim, Candolim, Calangute, Baga, Anjuna & Vagator beaches.
Goa Anjuna Beach is popular for its scenic natural beauty and is sandwitched between the blue waters of the Arabian Sea on one side and the greenery of the hills above on the other. The beach is populated by plenty of beautiful green palm & coconut trees, soft sands, rocky shores and bars & restaurants. The beach historically used to be a leisure hotspot for the hippies to launch their rave beach parties, which has now become popular among the beaches in Goa.
Goa Anjuna Beach is a perfect place for night parties, full-moon parties, weekly trance & special electro beach parties organised by a few beach shacks in the region. As the sun goes down the music begins, with DJs from around the world performing trance music and the tourists pour in to enjoy their evenings. The place is also a perfect spot for watching sunsets while enjoying some snacks, foods, drinks & cocktails from the shacks in the area.
Tourists who love shopping can head to the north of the Anjuna town and visit the Flea Market which is open every wednesday. They can opt to buy clothes, jewelry, handicrafts, spices, tea/coffee, souvenirs and almost anything they want. Plenty of guesthouses, resorts as well as houses for rent are available for accommodation. Water sports might be limited due to the nature of the rocky shores and uncertain sea waves but, one can try their luck towards the south of the beach where the sea is much calmer and can possibly enjoy parasailing, windsurfing, snorkeling & scuba diving.
